2nd league: HSV wins against Aue 4:0 – Clear victory in catch-up game ends April curse! – Bundesliga
Unbelievable but true: HSV has shaken off the April curse!
The Hamburgers knock Erzgebirge Aue 4-0 out of the Volksparkstadion in the catch-up game and win for the first time one game in April since Bundesliga relegation in 2018!
Top scorer Glatzel makes the start for HSV with his 17th goal of the season: After the Kittel pass, the striker can head in unchallenged (14′).
Kittel goes one better with a fluttering free-kick shortly before the break: the midfield boss, who was recently weak, bangs on goal from 25 meters. Aues goalkeeper Männel still gets a turn, but can no longer fend off the flutter ball (45 + 1).
The end of the weak phase of Hamburg’s creative boss? He hasn’t managed a goal or an assist in his last four games, but he managed both against Aue.
In the second half it will be a clear thing: Heyer scores with his sixth goal of the season as a right defender (third best HSV goalscorer) 3:0 (75th), Reis puts the lid on it with 4:0 (83rd).
After the last five games without a win and a meager two points, HSV got another three against Aue – also thanks to the poor performance of the 17th table. from the Ore Mountains.
