Disastrous accident in rainy weather in Bursa: 1 dead, 6 injured

The accident occurred yesterday at around 23.00 in Demirtaş Mahallesi, Demirtaş Yolu Street, garbage intersection.

Driving in the direction of Küçükbalıklı Mahallesi from Demirtaş, the car with license plate 16 LJ 883, under the direction of Kadir Yaman, went out of control as the driver lost control of the steering wheel on the slippery road due to the rain. The car, which was blown for meters, crossed the central median and collided head-on with the car with license plate 77 AE 134, led by Nihal Toker, coming from the opposite direction.

In the accident, Kadir Yaman, the driver of the car passing on the opposite lane, got stuck in the car, while Nihal Toker, who was in the other car, and his son YE Toker (4), Tuğba Kuşçu, Ömer Kuşçu, Şevval Kuşçu, E. Kuşçu (5) were injured.

Other drivers, who saw the accident, rushed to the aid of the injured and reported the situation to the medical teams. Upon the notification, a large number of police, firefighters and medical teams were sent to the scene. While the firefighters started working to rescue Yaman, who was stuck in the vehicle, the police teams took extensive security measures by closing the road to vehicle traffic against the possibility of another accident. Firefighters, who cut the doors of the car, removed the stuck driver and handed it over to the medical teams. The injured were taken to Bursa City Hospital and Çekirge State Hospital after the first intervention of the medical teams at the scene.

According to the news of DHA; Kadir Yaman, the father of a child, who was taken to Çekirge State Hospital, could not be saved despite the interventions made here and died. It was learned that the health status of the 6 injured people who were treated was good.

After the crime scene works were completed and the vehicles were removed from the road, traffic returned to normal. An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
