Sad boat accident on the high seas!
Eya Guezguez (17) was the youngest participant in the sailing competition at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo last year. Now the Tunisian has tragically died.
The young sailor was training with her twin sister and the national team on Sunday when their boat capsized due to strong winds. Guezguez was trapped under the boat. She could not free herself and drowned. Her sister Sarra, who was at the Olympics with Eya, survived the accident. The accident happened in the Mediterranean not far from the Tunisian capital Tunis.

The Tunisian journalist Souhail Khmira first reported on the fatal accident. He tweeted: “Eya Guezguez, Tunisian Olympic sailor, passed away today after an accident while training. May she rest in peace.”
