11th day of the Russian occupation

As Russia’s attacks on Ukraine continue on its 11th day, Russian forces are advancing towards Ukraine’s capital, Kiev. While it is stated that the humanitarian situation in Mariupol is catastrophic, the delegations of Russia and Ukraine will sit at the table for the 3rd round of negotiation talks tomorrow. What happened in the Russian occupation from yesterday to today…

The Ukrainian military said in its latest operational report that Russian forces remain focused on Kiev as they continue to attack Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and the creation of a land corridor with Crimea. The report noted that planes from airports on the territory of Belarus were involved in airstrikes on military and civilian infrastructure in Kyiv and Jitomir.

According to a regional official, Russia dropped powerful bombs on the residential areas of Chernihiv, a city north of Kiev. Vyacheslav Chaus said the Soviet-designed 500-kilogram (1,100-pound) air-dropped unexploded bomb, of the type often used against military-industrial installations and fortified structures, was a FAB-500.

Hundreds of people lined up in Kiev to join the Ukrainian army. One volunteer told Sky News: “We know why we’re here. We know why we are defending our country. “We know what we’re doing and that’s why we’re going to win.”
