Last minute: Critical statements from the leader of Ukraine

Critical statements from the leader of Ukraine

Highlights from the statements of President of Ukraine Zelensky are as follows:

“I want peace to come to my country in Ukraine, we are on our lands, we are ready for anything. If you are here, it will not be possible to say exactly what the future is. But let me answer this: The Russian army is many times larger. I am not talking about two or three floors. It is necessary to think about tanks or troops. They are 5 times stronger.

The Russian people are dying here, no one keeps track of the number of those who died in this war. They will not show the corpses to their families, they have prepared crematoriums here. They will not say that their soldiers killed. They came here to kill us. We don’t want to kill them. Here, our doctors intervene and cure them. He was helping wounded soldiers just yesterday. They are humans after all.

That’s the truth here. They brought the cremation room here. These people carry these cremation chambers for themselves. How can a human being organize such acts? This is a genocide. We are in the 21st century, I am ashamed. We are in 2022 and we are witnessing such actions. Expressions such as the apocalypse, the end of the world are used. Doomsday has already come for such people.

We form the border defense between them and civilization. I am not talking about the Russian people here. They are people like us. However, they are afraid to go out on the streets, they do not want to raise their voices against their president. People who are dissatisfied with me go out on the street, come to us and say, ‘You have changed our taxes, we don’t like it’. You are not a tsar. This is democracy. You are the president of your country, not a tyrant. You are the president of your country and you have to do your best in this role. Think like a company. When this happens, people will be proud of your country.

We defend our people and our country. If I wasn’t the president, I would be defending my country on the field right now. Maybe I would have been shot. I am a peaceful person; But if I were now the custodian of both the constitution and my people. If I wasn’t the president, I would be in civil defense right now, I would be providing food aid. I would take a gun. I would do whatever I was told. But if an ultimatum is given and they say, ‘Drop your gun and go to the other side’, I won’t do it. Shout out to the Russian mothers who sent their sons. I am 45 years old, I have daughters. Russian children could have been my children. I want Russian mothers to be able to understand this. So many people died, I don’t want them in the cremation chambers right now. Let their mothers know that their son is fine. We are facing an inhumane situation.”
