Last minute: Flash decision from the BBC for its employees in Russia!

In his statement, BBC Chief Executive Officer Tim Davies stated that Russia’s decision made the independent journalism process a crime, and used the following statements:
“While assessing the full implications of this undesirable development, this leaves us no choice but to temporarily suspend the work of all BBC journalists and support staff in Russia. Our BBC Russian service will continue to operate from outside Russia. The safety of our staff is paramount and they are simply doing their job. “We are not prepared to expose them to the risk of criminal prosecution. I want to commend them all for their courage, determination and professionalism.”
Davies underlined that BBC journalists in Ukraine and around the world will continue to report on the Russia-Ukraine war.
