It comes as no surprise that Marantz is introducing a new home cinema lineup. After all, sister company Denon presented the new multi-channel product portfolio just last week. But at least at first glance, the really Marantz devices seem to be independent products. All use Marantz’s own amplifier technology, and the number and power of the integrated amplifier channels do not match either AV receiver announced by Denon. And it’s no surprise that all new devices support Dolby Atmos and 8K video today.

The Marantz flagship consists of the AV 10 multi-channel preamplifier and the matching 16-channel AMP 10 amplifier. In addition, there is the HEOS integration, which integrates the AV receiver into the multi-room network from Marantz and Denon. Of course, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2 and the most important streaming services are also on board. Even the on-screen menu has been upgraded to 4K or 8K, so the interface looks adequate on your new TV. Oh yes: Voice control via Alexa or Google is also included.

The AMP 10 generates 400 watts per channel into 4 ohms via Class D, or 200 watts into 8 ohms (with five channels driven simultaneously. That’s a lot of power and should be enough even for larger Atmos installations.
