Pointing out that thousands of people have come to Poland to look for a safe place since the beginning of the attacks on February 24, Trzeciak said:

“Only on February 27, 100 thousand people entered Poland from Ukraine. So far (as of March 2), 453 thousand people have taken refuge in Poland. These numbers are constantly changing. We accept those who come and provide the necessary assistance.”

Trzeciak stated that on March 1, 98 thousand people entered Poland from Ukraine.

Trzeciak also denied the news that Poland only accepts women and children and discriminates against citizens of different countries. “This news is an example of disinformation. Poland helps everyone who wants to leave Ukraine, regardless of their nationality, race or religion.” used the phrase.

Stating that all kinds of aid, from food aid to medical support, were provided to those who came to Poland by crossing the border, Trzeciak noted that non-governmental organizations such as humanitarian aid organizations and the Polish people provided various support to those who crossed the border.

“OUR LIMITS ARE OPEN TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO LEAVE FROM UKRAINE”

Trzeciak, Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski said, “Poland will be a safe haven for anyone coming from Ukraine. Until everything normalizes in Ukraine, every Ukrainian who seeks shelter in Poland will find shelter.” Reminding his promise, he emphasized that they did not set a limit on the number of refugees.

Stating that Poland was preparing for the influx of immigrants weeks ago, Trzeciak said, “Geographically, Poland was the first country to come to a large number of immigrants. Poland does not discriminate. We will provide the necessary support to everyone who will be evacuated. Our borders are open to anyone who wants to leave Ukraine, no matter who they are. ” used the phrases.

Trzeciak noted that citizens of different countries can also leave Ukraine via Poland, and at this point, all of them can receive the necessary assistance.

Reminding that they condemned the Russian attacks on Ukraine, Trzeciak emphasized that Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki described the attacks as “Occupation”.

Pointing out that Western countries should respond in the most correct way in unity against Russia, Trzeciak said that cooperation should also be made on humanitarian aid.

Noting that Turkey and Poland have similar security concerns as two NATO countries, Trzeciak said, “Poland is also a safe place for Turkish citizens who want to leave Ukraine.” made his statement.

Trzeciak stated that a relief effort was organized for Ukraine at the Polish Embassy in Ankara, “Our work is like a drop in the ocean, but our staff wanted to make a contribution, even if it was not a big one.” used the phrase.

Trzeciak stated that Poland can benefit from Turkey’s experience with refugees and said:

“Poland can benefit from Turkey’s experience in refugee matters. After the Russian attacks, 453 thousand people crossed the Polish border and such a large number of people are looking for a safe place. This number will rise even higher.
