OnePlus Nord N20: Apple iPhone theme for Android friends

We already had the OnePlus Nord N20 thanks to tipster Steve Hemmstoffer November 2021 in front of the gun. The smartphone, which is visually reminiscent of an Apple iPhone, has not yet been released. But now it is the Oppo subsidiary itself that publishes a first picture in a US magazine and thus confirms the angular design. So nothing should stand in the way of a short-term release.

OnePlus has a tight schedule for the coming weeks

At OnePlus, there will be a number of mobile devices on the launch list in the coming days. In addition to today’s main actor, the OnePlus Nord N20, there is another OnePlus Ace, which might be a 10R on the roadmap. Furthermore, we already have the Nord 2T, Nord CE 2 Lite and an eventual OnePlus 10 Ultra themed. Oh and that OnePlus Foldwhich is said to be a rebranded Oppo Find N Foldable (to test) should be, was announced last week.

OnePlus Nord N20 somehow already officially presented

The OnePlus Nord N20, on the other hand, stands out a bit from the monotony. The reason is the angular design, which is actually more familiar from an Apple iPhone. The mid-range smartphone was presented to us in November, but OnePlus has only now come forward with news. Very unusual: via the British online magazine “PCMag“. The supposedly exclusive image confirms the “iPhone design” with its separate cameras on the back.

OnePlus is said to have a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels (FHD+) and a refresh rate of 90 Hertz. The fingerprint sensor is located under the panel and is charged with a 65-watt SuperVOOC power adapter.

So much for the official part. Steve told us at the time that the 159.8 x 73.1 x 7.7mm OnePlus Nord N20 will have an octa-core Snapdragon 695 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage on board. We have already planned the SoC (System on a Chip) manufactured in the 6 nanometer process for the Motorola Edge 30 Lite. Graphically, it has an Adreno 619 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), and wirelessly, an X51 5G modem.

The resolution of the triple camera has not yet been clearly clarified

On the front, a 16-megapixel camera is said to have been installed in the display (punch hole) at the top left. On the back, the triple camera offers a 48-megapixel main and two 2-megapixel sensors. the NotebookChecker see an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera as the second camera here. I have no idea where the info came from. We will probably see an official launch next week anyway.
