The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) shared data from various sources on the refugee crisis in Ukraine.
Accordingly, from February 24 to March 1, 874 thousand 26 refugees, 51.9% of whom were in Poland, crossed from Ukraine to neighboring countries.
POLAND RANKS FIRST
453 thousand 982 to Poland, 116 thousand 348 to Hungary, 79 thousand 315 to Moldova, 67 thousand to Slovakia, 44 thousand 540 to Romania, 42 thousand 900 to Russia, 341 to Belarus and other European countries. 69,600 refugees passed.
In addition to these figures, UNHCR reported that 96 thousand people crossed into Russia from Donetsk and Luhansk regions on February 18-23.
UNHCR warns that if the situation in Ukraine escalates further, up to 4 million civilians may flee the country.
