from Michael Miskulin
The indie game This Means Warp aims to merge gameplay elements from FTL: Faster Than Light and Overcooked in a fast-paced co-op space ship management survival game. Hectic real-time battles where everything goes haywire are pre-programmed!

The indie game This Means Warp was recently released in Early Access on Steam. At first glance, four players have to manage and fulfill tasks in co-op on a space ship in order to survive on their long journey through space. One Steam user aptly describes it as “4-player 2Overcooked meets FTL: Faster Than Light”.

This Means Warp: Spaceship management with roguelite elements

This Means Warp lets a player and up to three other playmates travel as the crew of a spaceship through a procedurally generated universe. You always get new weapons and spaceship systems that the crew has to improve further. Because in many corners of the universe sneaky opponents are lurking in fast-paced real-time battles. The co-op gameplay can either be started locally from the couch at home or completely online.

Possible Steam Tip: What is Diplomacy is Not an Option about?

This Means Warp is a roguelite experience in the sense that it delivers randomly generated maps, items, enemies, and encounters in each new playthrough. You have to strategically adapt your own actions as a space commander to the variable conditions in order to be able to withstand the unpredictable threats. The developers also promise that This Means Warp is easy to learn but difficult to master. Fans of FTL: Faster Than Light and Overcooked should definitely check them out. This Means Warp is available for around 17 euros on Steam.
